"Eagles Nest" July 4th 2012
This balcony rail sits on an old barn on Anderson Island Wa. The view from the "Nest" has Mnt. Rainier the Puget Sound and the Narrows Bridge. There are Bald Eagles that perch on a Pine Tree on the property. This was my inspiration for this functional sculpture.
Hand bent steel bar to look like branches intertwined to give it a nest feel. The steel is powder coated a textured brown to give it a natural feel and look. I added a frog on the top rail cap and a few steel leaves to add to the natural look.
